Letter from the Chair
CGBF is a business-to-business organisation set up to promote environmental best practice across the business community in Cumbria. We have two principle aims:
- Supporting businesses in their efforts to improve environmental performance of their business
- Campaigning and lobbying for better environmental service provision across Cumbria
CGBF is now recognised by a growing number of public and private institutions for the valuable work we are doing to deliver on these aims.
Many businesses are looking for opportunities for reducing their environmental impacts and improve performance but are not sure what to do or how to get started. CGBF can help. Most of our members have environmental management systems in place and are already reaping the benefits of improved business opportunities – o ther members are working towards this.
By joining CGBF you will be part of a growing network of like-minded businesses that are keen to share ideas and practical information about environmental management, waste and recycling, energy conservation, procurement, pollution control and a whole range of legal and o ther issues that affect business development.
We very much welcome your interest in CGBF and look forward to you joining us.
Best wishes
John Barwise AIEMA
